UGG no.

Alright, so I've been seeing these all over my campus and I need to go off on a small tangent. DO. NOT. WEAR. UGG. BOOTS. They are not fashionable. They are meant to be worn as slippers. They do not add anything to your outfit. I don't care if you have the newest knit ones or glitter ones there's no way around it; uggs are horrible. I've seen girls and unfortunately boys wearing them around campus. It's not even UGG weather yet.

Ok now that I have that out of my system it's time to continue my homework for the day....

First Blog!

Hello there blog world!

This is my very first blog for a topic I, myself, am interested in. I have always been a fan of fashion, so I figured the best topic for me to write about would be Fall Fashion 2012. I'm always looking to stay updated with the most in-style trends, and this year is no different. Of course, I watched several of the fall fashion week shows, my favorite designers being Christian Louboutin, Marchesa, and Chanel.

A few if the biggest trends I saw not only on the runway, but also while shopping in Boston this past weekend are bold colors. Colors like oxblood, cobalt blue, and jade green are huge for this coming season. Not to mention, bold prints. I saw several very bold printed pants in black and whites, but with accents of bright colors like reds or orange.

A trend that I've noticed in fashion magazines are the all-over color. For example, you would take a fall pumpkin orange, and wear it from head to toe. The color must all be the same, but in order to make this look work, the fabric should differ greatly from each other. Silks and corduroys blend surprisingly well together.

Thank you to all those who read my first blog! I'll be sure to add more to the blog as the fashion trends crop up throughout the season. Happy shopping all you fashionistas!
